If your club has been affected by the recent storms then you could be in luck – Sport England has announced it is offering emergency grants of £5000 for grassroots sports clubs to help repair sports facilities damaged by Storm Ciara.

Gale force winds and torrential rain swept large parts of the country last weekend, leaving many pitches, pavilions, clubhouses and floodlights in a state of disrepair and flooded.

Sport England chief executive Tim Hollingsworth said:

We’re making funding available so sports organisations can pay for rebuilds and repairs quickly, We know from the floods in 2013 and 2015 that flood water can cause significant damage to sports pitches, pavilions, changing and social facilities. Tim Hollingsworth, sport england

The funding is available to sports clubs and other community sports organisations, and you can apply here now.
