The FA People’s Cup is the nation’s biggest and most inclusive small sided football competition. The tournament is still in its infancy, having only been established in 2015 – but it is a rapidly growing event that saw over 45,000 players take part last year and is set to be even bigger again this time around.

The Biggest Competition in Football

Football is the country’s national game, its biggest sport, and millions of people nationwide regularly take part in 5-a-side. The FA People’s Cup is a free-to-enter five-a-side competition that gives everyone the chance to play in their own FA Cup, with the BBC sending cameras to various games, including covering the finals – held at St George’s Park.

In terms of participation it is in fact football’s biggest competition, and it is set to grow further this year with the welcome addition of a new women’s walking football category.

How does it work?

The competition will take place over three rounds – round one (23-24 February), the regional semi-finals (23-24 March) and the grand finals weekend (27-28 April) at St George’s Park, the home of the England football teams.
