Are you a young hockey player in Wales? If so, the Hockey 360 talent development programme – open to every young hockey player aged between 13-18 – could be for you.

Seven venues in locations across Wales will host the sessions, giving every young player the opportunity to access quality coaching.

Elite coaching on offer

More coaches have been added to the team for this year, and organisers are confident that the experience and quality of coaching the youngsters will receive is set to be better than ever.

Wales has enjoyed remarkable recent success in the hockey world, with wins against higher ranked nations in the Commonwealth Games a particularly significant achievement. Key to those successes were senior players and recent graduates of the 360 programme – Jacob Draper and Ioan Wall, both key players for the men’s side and both being developed through the 360 programme. Izzie Howell also attended the 360 programme in the lead up to her selection for the Gold Coast.

Pushing your game to new levels

Players will be challenged physically and mentality within the programme, in order to push and develop their game to new heights. The programme, which is fully aligned with Great Britain hockey’s Talent Development Framework, seeks to develop more players of high quality, in order to increase Wales potential as a hockey playing nation.

The first 360 season of the new season begins on September 9th and for any young hockey player in Wales, it’s the programme to engage with, and with the programme in better shape than ever, who knows how many 360 graduates will be representing Wales at the next major event!
