The 2018 Commonwealth Games kick off on 4th April and KUDOS is proud to be supplying kit for three competing nations.

Kudos is supplying kit for Jersey, Falkland Islands and St Helena

The Commonwealth Games is arguably most notable for the platform it gives to smaller and developing nations. It is so important that these athletes are given an opportunity to compete at the elite level, ordinarily dominated by the usual behemoths of the international stage.

Jersey are taking a 32 strong squad, with representation in athletics, badminton, cycling, gymnastics, lawn bowls, swimming, triathlon and shooting. In 2014 shooter Barry Le Cheminant came the closest anyone’s come to Jersey’s first medal since 1990, and he takes part for a 4th time.

Falkland Islands

26 athletes will travel to the Gold Coast to represent the Falkland Islands, across various shooting disciplines and badminton. Saul Pitaluga will be taking part in his 7th Games, while badminton player Doug Clark lines up for his 5th – significant achievements by any measure.

St Helena

And last but not least, the minuscule tropical island of St Helena will be proudly represented by nine athletes in swimming, athletics, shooting and badminton. Sprinter Sean Crowie will go in the blue riband 100m and doubles up in the 200m. Keep on eye on Sean, who trains with Preston Harriers in the UK.

The Games will cover 18 sports and 7 para sports, and KUDOS is proud to be supplying team kit for athletes and officials alike for the aforementioned nations. Good luck to all involved – we’ll be cheering you all on!
